Trading Rules & Limits
Complete guide to all trading rules, limits, and restrictions for Evaluation and PRO accounts.
General Trading Rules
Rule Violations Result in Account Closure
Any violation of trading rules will result in immediate account closure. Rules are enforced automatically by our risk management system and cannot be reversed. Always review rules before trading.
Session close (evaluation accounts)
Evaluation accounts must be flat by 4:59 PM Eastern (earlier on holidays or products that close sooner). Close positions and cancel working orders. Holding through session close can fail the evaluation.
No News Trading Restrictions
Trading during major news events may be restricted. Check your account rules for specific restrictions on news trading.
Contract Limits
The table below is the evaluation cap. Intraday and EOD evals share these sizes; EOD evals also have a session daily loss limit. PRO Accounts start lower and then follow the EOD profit scaling table (can move up or down). See complete plan rules.
| Account Size | Total Contracts | Per Product |
|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | 4 (40 Micros) | 8 |
| $50,000 | 6 (60 Micros) | 12 |
| $100,000 | 8 (80 Micros) | 16 |
| $150,000 | 12 (120 Micros) | 24 |
Risk Management Rules
Maximum Loss Limit (account fail line)
Touching the active trailing or EOD threshold closes the account. On EOD PRO the fail line locks at start + $100 after the lock trigger ($50K: $50,100 after highest EOD $52,100). On EOD evaluation it locks at the profit-target balance after the eval lock trigger ($50K: $53,000 after $55,000).
Daily Loss Limit
Applies on EOD evaluations (fixed) and on PRO Accounts (scales with the latest EOD profit tier). Intraday evaluations do not use a DLL. Hitting the DLL flattens and pauses the session. It does not close the account.
Trailing drawdown
The account fail line trails the high (live peak on intraday, highest EOD close on EOD) and never moves down. It is not a per-trade stop-loss.
